About us

Kasmira is primarily Carolin Waldmann, on vocals and violin, and David Hammond on vocals and guitar.

Based on the beautiful Moray coast of Scotland, we are playing live across the Highlands & Islands, Moray, Nairnshire and Aberdeenshire.

Carolin has toured Europe and the UK with folk bands and other musical groups and sung in choirs and as a solo musician.

David originally trained as a recording engineer in New York and has performed with bands in the USA, Europe and the UK, including with Mike Scott and The Waterboys.

As needed, for louder, more upbeat music, other talented musicians join Kasmira on stage - bringing the added dimensions of drums, bass, keyboards, electric guitar and more, depending on what the occasion calls for!
